WORLD CLASS SEVENS AT THE HOME OF WORLD CLASS SIXES

The Mitsubishi Electric Rugby Barbados World 7s 2018 will take place in the 11,000 seater Kensington Oval, Bridgetown – the home of West Indies first class cricket!

The 2017 RBW 7s was the best ever 7s tournament held in Barbados and attracted global attention with all games shown live on line!

A hard act to follow, BUT this year the tournament will see 32 Men’s & Women’s teams from around the world, including past and present rugby Internationals as well as rugby 7s Olympians, competing over two action-packed days in both the ‘Elite’ and ‘Open’ tournaments.

The prize money for the Mitsubishi Electric Rugby Barbados World 7s has now been increased to THIRTY THOUSAND US DOLLARS! (US$30,000.00). FIFTEEN THOUSAND US DOLLARS  (US$15,000.00) will go to the finalists of both the Men’s and the Women’s Elite Divisions, with two-thirds of that amount: TEN THOUSAND US DOLLARS (US$10,000.00) going to each winning team and FIVE THOUSAND US DOLLARS (US$5,000.00) to each losing finalist. The organizers are expecting to be able to increase these amounts as more partners come on board!  Stay tuned for further news releases ……
